Fall Meeting Recap… and pictures!

Thanks to all who attended the Fall meeting of the ARLIS/ DC-MD-VA chapter on November 5, 2010. We are especially grateful to our hosts Suzanne Freeman and Lee Viverette at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond.

Our packed day began with a tour of the VMFA’s recently renovated building, followed by curator-led tours of the American, Art Deco, and South Asian collections.

After lunch in the VMFA’s cafĂ©, Suzanne Freeman and Lee Vivrette led us on a tour of the newly renovated library facilities.

After a full day of art and educational tours, DC-MD-VA members mingled with colleagues and enjoyed cocktails in VMFA’s restaurant Amuse.
