The National Museum of Women in the Arts seeks applications for our Dettre Graduate Archival Internship and for our regular unpaid internship program.
Dettre Graduate Archival Internship
The Dettre Graduate Archival Internship is a part-time (20 hours) paid position for one year that begins each fall to help support our Archives of Women Artists.
The recipient receives a $10,000 stipend over 12 months to put into practice what they are learning in their graduate program.
Under the direction and supervision of the Director of the Library and Research Center, the Dettre Archival Intern is responsible for performing various tasks related to the National Museum of Women in the Arts Archives. The recipient of the internship will process records, assist in the inventory and appraisal of records, arrange and re-house records, and describe records using standardized procedures.

If you are interested in doing something shorter term as an intern, you are welcome to email Heather Slania, Director of the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center, separately. There are projects that are acceptable for practicum, independent study classes, and general library and archival hands on training.
