Part-Time, Temporary Cataloger at the National Museum of Women in the Arts

The National Museum of Women in the Arts Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center is seeking a part-time, temporary cataloger to create original cataloging records for our top 500 artist files. In an effort to provide better access and description to the important ephemera within these files, the LRC plans to catalog our artist files in MARC format, making them accessible and searchable in our OPAC and WorldCat.

Qualifications for this position:

  • Knowledge of AACR2, ISBD, LCSH, LC classification schedules, and MARC 21/OCLC formats
  • Knowledge of integrated library catalog systems, Koha preferred
  • Graduate of or student in an ALA accredited MLS/MLIS program
  • Art history knowledge preferred, but not required

Pay rate will be $20/per hour for approximately 225 hours.
